Parent groups offer structured education, practical strategies, and connection for parents and caregivers facing similar challenges

Parenting a child with behavior or emotional challenges can feel isolating. You may wonder whether other families are dealing with the same things or wish you had more concrete tools and less unsolicited advice and trial and error learning. Parent groups offer evidence-based knowledge and tools together with reassurance that you are not doing this alone.

Structured, evidence-based groups teach parenting and behavior management strategies in a supportive setting. Parents learn how to strengthen communication, respond to misbehavior, reinforce positive behavior, and create healthier patterns at home. Just as important, parents receive encouragement, validation, and peer support from others facing similar struggles.

What parent groups focus on

Groups typically run for 8-10 weeks. They teach many of the same core skills covered in one-on-one parent coaching, including how to play with your child in ways that build connection, how to set limits, and how to respond more effectively to challenging behavior. The group format adds the benefit of shared learning and community.

Why families choose a group format

For many parents, it helps to hear that others are navigating similar frustrations, uncertainties, and wins. The group setting can reduce shame, increase confidence, and make it easier to keep using new skills over time. Families learn from one another and gain effective tools along with a stronger sense of support, validation, and parenting confidence. Why join one of our parent groups?
