Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
As required by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), Sheppard Pratt conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years and subsequently adopts an implementation plan to meet the community health needs identified through the CHNA. Through this process, we evaluate and respond to the health needs of individuals living in the service areas of our two hospital campuses in Towson and Elkridge, Maryland.

Our most recent comprehensive Community Health Needs Assessment was conducted in 2025. The Community Health Needs Assessment report linked below presents the data we have collected and the key factors impacting the health of the communities we serve. The implementation plan outlines how we will respond to needs identified in the assessment.
