About Our Program
At the Sheppard Pratt DBT Program, we offer comprehensive DBT in an outpatient setting.
DBT Therapy Services
As a client, you actively participate in weekly individual DBT therapy, weekly DBT skills group, and between-sessions skills coaching. Our therapists participate in a weekly consultation team meeting.
Who We Treat
We offer comprehensive DBT for adults 18 and older. DBT works for individuals who have symptoms such as:
- Suicidal thoughts
- Self-injurious behavior
- Trauma and dissociation
- Quickly-changing moods
- Substance use
- Bingeing and purging
- Defiant behaviors and aggression
- Impulse control problems
Paying for DBT Therapy Services: Insurance Information
Patients are expected to pay their co-pay at the time services are rendered. We participate with Maryland Medicaid and Medicare, as well as many major insurance companies (including CareFirst, CIGNA, Aetna, and United Healthcare). Because of variations between policies, it is best to contact your insurer directly to determine whether we are in their network for your plan.
