Because of the vast unmet need in Maryland and beyond, Sheppard Pratt now meets only a fraction of the demand for mental health services.

Philanthropic support for our new Capital Region Campus will expand the reach of our services and help construct and equip the best-possible environment for treatment.

For many people, mental health challenges are compounded by poverty, violence, and the lack of adequate food, housing, employment and social support, in addition to chronic medical conditions. Sheppard Pratt treats patients with a team of providers—all highly trained in addressing specific needs of patients with anxiety, depression and other behavioral health challenges.

Providing a full range of support—including complete mental health services, medical referrals, job training, housing, and other assistance—has proven enormously beneficial for veterans, survivors of human trafficking and others. With private support, we will increase community partnerships and the resources for vulnerable populations.
