Q: Can you tell us about your career at Sheppard Pratt?

I have been with Sheppard Pratt for over 13 years. I started as a service coordinator working within the residential programs. I began learning more about our vocational services and was really interested in helping people make that concrete progress. For the last two years, I have been the director of vocational services for the community employment program in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Carroll County.

The ability to see the progress day to day with individuals we work with, whether it’s going to a job interview, or following up on an application was submitted.

Q: What has been your proudest moment at work?

I’m always really proud of seeing the development with staff that I’m working with. I’m lucky to work with dedicated team of talented individuals.

Q: What advice would you give a person applying for a role like yours?

Keep an open mind and take information from other staff who have been there for years, even decades!

The most rewarding part of my job is helping people achieve greater financial independence and sustain life in the community.
