Located at both the Towson and Baltimore/Washington campuses, the Co-Occurring Disorders Unit is designed for crisis stabilization; our goal is to move individuals to a less-intensive level of care as soon as it is safe to do so, and our average length of stay is seven to eight days.

We serve individuals ages 18 - 65 who are experiencing multiple psychiatric issues, which may include a substance use disorder. Many are experiencing recurring problems, triggered by stressful situations, life problems, and more. No matter how individuals come into our care, we help individuals safely get through this period of crisis and begin (or continue) their journey towards recovery. We are a short term psychiatric inpatient unit; we are not a rehabilitation facility, but are a starting point in the process of recovery.

Our compassionate experts are here to help, and serve as a source of guidance and comfort for both patients and their families. Recovery is a unique experience for every individual; no two journeys are the same. During your loved one’s inpatient stay, we will provide education and information for the patient and their family.
