Jill Howard, RN, BSN, MBS-HCM is a Senior Consultant for Sheppard Pratt Solutions. She has demonstrated over 20 successful years in the behavioral healthcare arena in addition to 5 years as an RN in emergency departments. In that time, she has worked in nursing homes, both urban and rural inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and residential substance abuse treatment centers. Howard served as a behavioral health hospital administrator with HCA for 8 years and most recently worked for Lifepoint Health as the national service line leader and Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health.
Howard champions a strong focus on patient safety, leadership and program development, clinical education, access to care/ED throughput and regulatory readiness. Howard has served on national and regional boards and committees, including the American Hospital Association’s Behavioral Health Council (current chair), Mental Health America of the Midsouth, Tennessee Hospital Association, and Western Governor’s Distinguished Alumni council.
