Recognizing extraordinary nurses and mental health workers
Our nurses and mental health workers go above and beyond to provide care and services to our patients, clients, students, and residents, as well as their families. To formally honor the incredible work our caregivers do for patients, students, clients, residents, and their families, we’re pleased to offer the DAISY and BEE Awards for our nurses and mental health workers.
Nurses at Sheppard Pratt hospitals, schools, and community services are eligible for the DAISY Award. The DAISY Award is an international award program developed by a patient’s family to honor the care and compassion their loved one received during their hospitalization. It was the first program of its kind to give patients, families, and co-workers a way to express their gratitude to nurses for providing compassionate care to patients and their families. More than 220,000 nurses in all 50 U.S. states and 40 countries have been honored with a DAISY Award.
Mental health workers at Sheppard Pratt hospitals are eligible for the BEE Award. BEE stands for “Beyond Exceptional Every Day”. This is a complementary award started by hospitals who wanted to develop a standardized award program in conjunction with the DAISY Award to honor the crucial role other caregivers play in a patient’s experience.
Tell us about extraordinary care you've received from a Sheppard Pratt nurse and nominate them for a DAISY Award (link will take you to the DAISY organization's nomination form).
