A lot can happen during a year of psychotherapy. During this lecture, Clarence G. Through the lens of object relations theory, Dr. Nimo will explore the relationship between early childhood experiences and presenting symptoms and defense mechanisms, as well as the impact of countertransference within the therapeutic alliance.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify how early childhood relationships influence the development of defense mechanisms.
  2. Assess the relationship between early childhood relationships and the adoption of conspiracy theories.
  3. Illustrate the role of countertransference in the therapeutic alliance.
