Who We Serve

We serve adults with a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (recurrent, severe, or single episode – severe). 

Paying for TMS Services

Sheppard Pratt’s outpatient TMS services participate with many forms of commercial insurance, as well as Medicare and Maryland Medicaid. We also accept self-pay patients/patients who choose to pay for services without using insurance.

Most forms of insurance have the following eligibility requirements for covering TMS:

• Current primary diagnosis of major depressive disorder – recurrent, severe, or single episode – severe
• A history of failing or not responding to 2 or more psychopharmacological treatments for depression, such as SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, or others
• A history of evidence-based psychotherapy

We will verify your benefits after receiving a referral from a psychiatric provider and questionnaire.
