Who We Serve

OnTrack Maryland is a program specially designed for adolescents and young adults who have started experiencing troubling thoughts and exhibiting changes in behavior. These thoughts and behavioral changes are known as psychosis, and often include:

  • Hearing or seeing things that others do not see or hear

  • Having unusual thoughts or beliefs that appear as strange to oneself or others

  • Feeling fearful or suspicious of others, often including trusted loved ones

Our Approach

At OnTrack Maryland, we use an integrated approach to address the educational, employment, physical, and mental health needs of young adults experiencing psychosis, including managing issues with substance use.

Our evidence-based, integrated interventions include:

  • Psychoeducation about psychosis for young adults and their families

  • Prescription and medication management

  • Assistance with finding, securing, and keeping a job

  • Behavioral interventions aimed at improving social functioning and decreasing substance use

  • Crisis management

  • Connections to other local, supportive resources

OnTrack is a two-year program, and our approach is effective: at-risk young adults and their families receive the tools they need to manage the symptoms of psychosis, and to achieve their goals for school, work, and relationships.
