Self pay autism diagnosis and case management services

At Sheppard Pratt’s Center for Autism, we provide comprehensive, private pay autism diagnostic and subsequent case management services.

Diagnostic Testing

If you suspect that your child or loved one is experiencing autism spectrum disorder, it can be helpful to receive a formal diagnosis from a team of experts to help facilitate further care and resources. At Sheppard Pratt, our team of clinicians has been diagnosing and working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder for decades.

We offer a comprehensive, multi-day diagnostic process. If after we complete our series of diagnostic tests and find that your child or loved one meets the criteria for autism spectrum disorder, we will begin to work with you on a comprehensive care plan.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Case Management

After your child or loved one has a formal diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, we can help them access the supportive services they need in order to thrive.

Our team works with you to develop a comprehensive care plan – we make sure that your loved one has access to all of the services and care they need to thrive. We work with young children, children, teenagers, adults, and older adults. While many care providers stop providing services when a child turns 21, at Sheppard Pratt, we continue caring for our clients throughout adulthood. Not only do we provide case management services, we provide parents with peace of mind for ongoing care.

Through our case management services, we help individuals with autism spectrum disorder access:

  • Medication management
  • Therapy
  • Applied behavioral analysis (ABA) services
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech/language pathology
  • IEP/504 planning
  • Special education, including Sheppard Pratt’s 12 special education schools
  • Housing
  • Vocational training
  • Day programs
  • Specialized inpatient care

Paying for Services

Sheppard Pratt’s Center for Autism is a private pay program, meaning we do not participate with insurance. If you have out-of-network mental health coverage through your health insurance, call them to find out more about coverage. It may be possible to get a percentage of your fees reimbursed. Our team can provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance.
