Dr. Weronika Gondek is the medical director of The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt, a nationally renowned comprehensive program for the treatment of complex eating disorders. Prior to joining Sheppard Pratt, Dr. Gondek served as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Howard County, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she was the director of the inpatient psychiatry consult service and the outpatient eating disorder clinic. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Gondek worked in the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient eating disorder program at The Renfrew Center of Baltimore.
Dr. Gondek completed her fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at Georgetown University/National Institutes of Health/Washington Hospital Center, and completed her residency in psychiatry at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. She earned her MD at Medical University of Silesia in Poland.
Dr. Gondek is a regular journal reviewer for Eating and Weight Disorders – Studies on Anorexia, Bulimia and Obesity. She is a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders and the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. She is board certified in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine.
