Sharon Carroll, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner on the adult service line at Sheppard Pratt’s Baltimore/Washington Campus. She earned an associate degree in nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marymount University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Walden University. Carroll has worked as a psychiatric nurse at Taylor Manor Psychiatric Hospital as well as Sheppard Pratt, where she worked on the Adolescent Unit and then the General Adult Psychiatric Unit before transitioning to her role as a nurse practitioner. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Psychiatric Nurse Association. At Taylor Manor Psychiatric Hospital, Carroll was recognized with the Hildegard Peplau Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Nursing. She has also contributed as a member of a number of committees at Sheppard Pratt, including the Clinical Organizational Culture Committee, the Performance Improvement Committee, the DBT Concepts Committee, the Laboratory Committee, and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
