Shane Hart, LCPC, is a therapist at The Center for OCD and Anxiety, specializing in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders. In his work with clients, he utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) in the context of a strong therapeutic relationship characterized by collaboration, trust, and respect.

In 2016, Shane earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University School of Education. As a graduate-intern, he provided outpatient individual and group psychotherapy at Complete Wellness, a private practice in Baltimore City.

Prior to joining The Center for OCD and Anxiety, Shane has worked at Sheppard Pratt since 2012 in various roles, including mental health worker, patient advocate, and mental health counselor on the Young Adult Inpatient Unit. During his time at Sheppard Pratt, he has gained clinical experience providing individual and group psychotherapy and has received considerable training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition, he is a member of the Sheppard Pratt LGBTQ+ Inclusivity Committee. 

Shane has taught graduate-level courses in counseling theories, counseling techniques, and diagnosis in counseling at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. He is also a professional member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
