Dr. Monica Rettenmier is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and is the service chief of ECT for Sheppard Pratt. She completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Rettenmier also completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She earned her MD at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, Dr. Rettenmier specialized in radiography in multiple Texas and Louisiana hospital systems, and served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. Dr. Rettenmier is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the International Society for ECT and Neuromodulation.
