Laura E. Eskander, MD, is the service chief of Sheppard Pratt’s Young Adult Unit at the Baltimore/Washington Campus and service chief of Sheppard Pratt's Psychiatric Urgent Care clinics at the Baltimore/Washington Campus and Towson campus. Dr. Eskander received her bachelor’s degrees in Neuroscience and Chemistry at Emory University and earned her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her residency in general psychiatry through the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt psychiatry residency program.

Dr. Eskander is board certified in general psychiatry and neurology, and she is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Maryland Psychiatric Society. Her areas of expertise include crisis psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and acute mental health.
