Francis Achanyileke, RN, BSN, APN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in Sheppard Pratt’s inpatient Meadow Unit and Child & Adolescent Day Hospital. He earned his associate degree from Prince George’s Community College, followed by his bachelor’s degree from Grand Canyon University, and his master’s in psychiatric mental health nursing from Walden University. Achanyileke began his career as a mental health nurse at Kennedy Psychiatric Care, Professional Healthcare Washington DC, and Maryland Homecare nursing. He then worked as a clinical supervisor for Capital Care Washington DC, VITAS health care and a clinical nurse in the intensive cardiovascular unit(ICU) at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Achanyileke came to Sheppard Pratt in 2019 as a psychiatric nurse and has since advanced to psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He is fluent in English, Chinese, and French.
