Debra Thompson, LCSW-C

Debra Thompson, LCSW-C is a mental health therapist at Outpatient Mental Health Center - Frederick. Thompson received her undergraduate degree at Hood College in 2009 and achieved advanced standing at University of Maryland, Baltimore. She received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2010. Thompson works as an individual and family therapist for the offsite counseling services program. She sees children of all ages and uses a variety of techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other techniques specifically tailored to meet clients’ needs and utilize clients’ individual strengths. Thompson’s approach also contains a strong mindfulness component.
