About this lecture:
The focus of this lecture will be to provide an overview of trauma-informed care in a behavioral health setting, and provide information on the neurobiology and social consequences of trauma and how they impact patients in our care.
After attending this lecture, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of trauma-informed care in a behavioral healthcare setting.
- Describe the social consequences of trauma.
- Identify strategies to improve self-care to prevent vicarious traumatization.
