Programs for integrating psychiatric and behavioral health care in the primary care setting have proliferated over the past 25 years in the context of a persistent workforce shortage in the field of children’s mental health.
In this Sheppard Pratt Grand Rounds lecture, Dr. Barry Sarvet, UMass Chan Medical School – Baystate, will explore the landscape of these programs and consider how program models have evolved to improve engagement and performance of the programs in the context of unique community resource limitations and the recognition of the needs of special populations. Recommendations for further development of this field will be considered in the context of ongoing challenges and opportunities.
