BC Speaks: The Many Faces of Addiction - A Virtual Conversation

The opioid epidemic affects all of us. Statistics in Baltimore County show that over 1,000 people have died from opioid overdose, and our county is one of the most affected in the state.

Join Dr. Sunil Khushalani, medical director of adult services at Sheppard Pratt, and other panelists for "BC Speaks: The Many Faces of Addiction", a virtual conversation moderated by I-Team investigative reporter Jayne Miller, aiming to provide information and reduce the stigma on a crisis that adheres to no age, gender or racial boundaries.

Panelists include: Travis Rieder PhD, faculty member of the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and author of In Pain: A Bioethicist's Personal Struggle with Opioids; Dr. Sunil D. Khushalani, medical director of adult services at Sheppard Pratt and part of Baltimore County Opioid Response Working Group; John Torsch, cofounder/director of Special Programs, Daniel Carl Torsch Foundation. This program is part of BC Reads.
