Jooyoung Lee, MD, MS, is an attending psychiatrist on the child inpatient unit at Sheppard Pratt’s hospital in Towson, Maryland. A graduate of the Seoul National University College of Medicine, Lee completed psychiatry residency training at Seoul National University Hospital and the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt program. He went on to complete a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA)/Harvard Medical School, as well as a fellowship in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.

Prior to joining Sheppard Pratt, Lee was a psychiatrist at Children’s Hospital Colorado and an assistant professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dual board-certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry, he has extensive research experience in digital mental health interventions and has published extensively in journals such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America, Academic Psychiatry, the Journal of Graduate Medical Education, and Journal of Affective Disorders. Additionally, Lee has served as a member of the Psychiatry Resident In-Training Exam (PRITE) editorial board since 2025.
