Sheppard Pratt School at Severna Park High School is a 10-month special education program, located in Severna Park High School, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our program serves 9th to 12th grade students, ages 14-21 with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disabilities, and related disorders. Severna Park High School students entered a new building in 2017 and our students have shared access to their course offerings, facilities, and resources.

Our experienced, compassionate team understands that every child learns differently and deserves individualized instruction and support. When you walk into our classrooms, you will notice staff working diligently to support our students, helping them master academic content and learn social skills to help them navigate a plethora of settings.  

Our dedicated multidisciplinary team includes a certified education director, coordinator, special education teachers, a licensed professional counselor, a speech pathologist, an occupational therapist and educational assistants. We help students meet their educational goals and prepare them for their future and life beyond the classroom using Anne Arundel County Public School’s curriculum and research based strategies in the self-contained and general education setting.

All of our students are Anne Arundel County Public School Students. We currently have capacity for 18 students. We only receive referrals from Anne Arundel County School’s Non-Public Office. 

Sheppard Pratt School - Severna Park High School is a Type II School, approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE).
