Dr. Trish Carlson is a board certified adult psychiatrist and is service chief of Sheppard Pratt's TMS program. She serves as a consultation-liaison psychiatrist at GBMC in addition to providing TMS and ECT services at Sheppard Pratt. 

Dr. Carlson practiced as an attending psychiatrist on The Retreat for nine years and has specialized fellowship training in the field of eating disorders. She has a strong interest in treating mood disorders, including treatment resistant depression, generalized anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. Dr. Carlson is also on staff with the Department of Clinical Research Programs at Sheppard Pratt, where she works with research protocols related to treatment resistant depression. She is trained in transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transference focused psychotherapy (TFP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure response prevention therapy. She has taught courses in shame resilience as well as topics related to common human sufferings such as loss and trauma. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, including young adults and the geriatric population.   

Dr. Carlson is board certified in general psychiatry.
