Sheppard Pratt recently announced that its consulting and management services division, Sheppard Pratt Solutions, has partnered with MedStar Health to introduce a new behavioral health space at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. The new Behavioral Health Services location will improve and expand access to services.

Sheppard Pratt Solutions has partnered to design, build, and determine a comprehensive program strategy for the 4,890-square-foot space at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. The partnership will bolster MedStar Union Memorial Hospital’s behavioral health programing by expanding its partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. The space boasts 18 rooms where clinicians will provide both in-person and telehealth services, meeting space, and group rooms to best meet the increased demand for behavioral healthcare services in Baltimore City and the surrounding areas.

“For nearly two centuries, Sheppard Pratt has served as a beacon of hope across Baltimore, improving the quality of life for local residents through our world-class behavioral health services” said Harsh K. Trivedi, MD, MBA, president and CEO of Sheppard Pratt. “Sheppard Pratt is proud to partner with MedStar Health as we continue our shared commitment to ensuring the critical mental health needs of Baltimore communities are met with compassion and expertise.”

This partnership leverages Sheppard Pratt’s expertise in operating high-quality behavioral health services to support the improvement and expansion of behavioral health program offerings at Union Memorial Hospital.

“We are excited to utilize this space as we increase and expand access to our behavioral health services in the  central Maryland region of MedStar Health,” says Brad Chambers, senior vice president and chief operating officer of MedStar Health in the Baltimore region. “By partnering with Sheppard Pratt Solutions, we are invested in their expertise  and the commitment we’ve made at this hospital for nearly 170 years, to serve the needs of our communities.”
