When an individual receives special education services due to a disability, schools are required to provide supportive services that assist the child in meeting their goals. These services are referred to as related services. Related services can encompass a wide variety of services including transportation, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, psychological services, recreational therapy, nursing services (medication management), social work and case management, and more.
