Selina Jones, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with Sheppard Pratt’s Child and Adolescent Service Line. She is dual board-certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner, bringing a unique combination of expertise in behavioral health and comprehensive medical care to her practice.
With more than a decade of healthcare experience, Jones has cared for patients across the lifespan, from infancy through older adulthood. Her diverse clinical background provides her with a broad perspective on the complex relationship between physical health, emotional well-being, family dynamics, and mental health. She is particularly passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and their families through compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based care.
Jones earned her master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Shenandoah University and her master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Mountain State University. Her dual certification allows her to approach psychiatric care from a whole-person perspective, considering both the mental and physical health needs of the individuals she serves.
Throughout her career, Jones has been committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment in which patients and families feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. She values collaboration with families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams and believes that building strong therapeutic relationships is an important foundation for helping young people achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in their well-being.
