Michael Cannon, MD is a psychiatrist for Sheppard Pratt’s crisis stabilization inpatient unit at its hospital in Towson, Maryland. Cannon brings deep expertise in emergency psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, outpatient psychopharmacology, and multidisciplinary partial hospital/intensive outpatient treatment settings to his role at Sheppard Pratt. Prior to joining Sheppard Pratt, Cannon held roles at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center and ERC/Pathlight Mood and Anxiety Center.
A board-certified psychiatrist, Cannon completed his psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt residency program; he earned his MD at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Cannon is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Maryland Psychiatric Society.
