Nneka Ezunagu, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, CRNP, SCRN, CNRN

Nneka Ezunagu, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, CRNP, SCRN, CNRN, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Sheppard Pratt’s Outpatient Mental Health Center in Glen Burnie. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing, followed by a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Howard University. Ezunagu went on to specialize in psychiatric-mental health care at Shenandoah University. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Neuroscience Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Heart Association, the American Stroke Association, the American Stroke Association Nursing Council, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the Neuroscience Education Institute, and the Psychopharmacology Institute. She was also recognized as a humanitarian and best practice student in the Howard University class of 2013. Ezunagu holds numerous certifications including as a progressive care certified nurse, a certified neuroscience registered nurse, and a stroke certified registered nurse. She holds a DEA license, a registered nurse license, a psychiatric nurse practitioner certification, a family nurse practitioner certification, and certifications in basic life support and advanced cardiopulmonary life support. Before coming to Sheppard Pratt, Ezunagu worked as a family nurse practitioner at CVS Minute Clinic and Maryland Physician Inpatient Care Specialists. She then worked as a nurse practitioner in neurology and director of clinical programs for wounds, diabetes, and strokes at University of Maryland Capital Region Health, a primary stroke center stroke coordinator at University of Maryland Prince George’s Hospital Center, and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Kolmac Outpatient Recovery Center and Omni House Behavioral Inc.
