Michael S. Durant, LCPC is a mental health therapist at Behavioral Health Partners of Frederick. He received his master’s in education in counseling from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1979, and completed subsequent training at Grand Canyon University. Michael obtained his licensure as a clinical professional counselor in 2014. Michael currently works as an individual therapist, working with children, adolescents, and adults; he also provides couples therapy. He utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including: cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed therapy, marriage and family systems approach, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness approaches to managing stress. He enjoys working with clients with a broad variety of conditions, including trauma, depression, and anxiety, as well as severe and chronic mental illness.
