Ed Porembski, LCSW is a social worker on the child unit at Sheppard Pratt’s Towson campus, where he has been a member of the team for more than 11 years. Ed received his undergraduate degree from Loyola College of Baltimore and received his M.S.W. from the University of Maryland. Prior to coming to Sheppard Pratt to work with children, Ed was a pioneer in the care of substance abusers with HIV disease in the late 1980s and 1990. Ed has co-authored several articles with Dr. Geoffrey Greif, a professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, detailing the needs of family members and significant others caring for a loved one with HIV disease.
