Claire Cohen, LCSW-C - Program Director

Claire received her bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and her master’s degree in Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work. She began her career as a clinical social worker at The Frost School in 1996. In this role, her responsibilities included providing daily group counseling, individual counseling, case management, and multi-family group counseling.  In 2001, she became the program coordinator for the middle school program and supervised a multidisciplinary team of therapists, teachers, and related service providers. Claire become the director of The Frost School in 2010, and now oversees the six programs within the school. Previously, Claire has also worked as a private practice clinician in the community providing individual psychotherapy and case management for children and adolescents and has worked as a consultant for an outreach program with at risk youth in Montgomery County. Claire is dedicated to the success of the students and staff at The Frost School and has enjoyed participating in the evolution and growth of the school over the many years she has worked there. 

Chip Maust, Ed.D. - Education Director

Chip has been in the special education field for more than 22 years, working in a variety of public, private, and non-public schools. He completed both his master’s and doctoral degrees at The George Washington University, majoring in special education. Initially, Chip served as a 1:1 aide working with a student with muscular dystrophy. From there, he became a special education classroom teacher and administrator. Chip has served as the education director of The Frost School since August 2014, and is responsible for academic programming, which includes overseeing curriculum, instruction, and assessment. A Rockville, Maryland native, Chip attended Montgomery County Public Schools.
