Co-Occurring Disorders Unit - Baltimore/Washington

The Co-Occurring Disorders Unit at Sheppard Pratt’s Baltimore/Washington Campus is a safe and welcoming 17-bed inpatient unit that is specially designed for the treatment of adults ages 18 to 65 who are experiencing both a mental illness and substance use problem.

The unit is designed for crisis stabilization; our goal is to move individuals to a less-intensive level of care as soon as it is safe to do so. Individuals generally come to our unit for care when they have experienced a crisis involving substance use. Many are experiencing recurring problems, and substance use is triggered by stressful situations, life problems, and more. No matter how individuals come into our care, we help individuals safely get through detox and begin (or continue) their journey towards recovery.
