New Employee Orientation
Welcome to the Sheppard Pratt team – we’re excited to have you on board! All employees participate in New Employee Orientation when beginning their careers at Sheppard Pratt. It’s a great chance to learn about Sheppard Pratt, and to have any questions you have about benefits, policies, and life at Sheppard Pratt answered.
New Employee Orientation, hosted at The Conference Center at Sheppard Pratt, is held on select Thursdays and is a day-long program.
What to know in advance:
- Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. Orientation begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
- Unless you are instructed otherwise, free parking is available in the parking lot directly in front of The Conference Center building.
- If you get lost or are running late, please contact Human Resources at 410-938-3364.
What we provide:
- You will receive your employee ID badge on your first day.
- Light refreshments are available throughout the day including coffee, hot tea, water, granola bars, breakfast bars, and snacks. Vending machines are also available in The Conference Center.
- Lunch is provided at The Conference Center – please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions at least two days in advance.
Attire
Dress for the day is business casual. Shorts, flip flops, tight-fitting clothing, leggings, and revealing clothes are not appropriate during orientation. We recommend bringing layers, as temperatures may fluctuate.

If you have any questions about the orientation process, please contact the Division of Human Resources at 410-938-3318.
Clinical Orientation for Hospital Employees

Where to go for hospital clinical orientation:
- Please report to room C-305 in the Central Building in the Towson campus for clinical orientation on Friday at 8:00 a.m.
- If you get lost or are running late, please call Candace Frazier, clinical education secretary, at 410-938-3510.
What to know in advance:
- During hospital clinical orientation, please park in the G parking lot for employees. Click here to view a Towson Campus map.
- We will provide you with a pen and paper, as well as refreshments and snacks throughout orientation.
- The dress code is business casual; jeans are not permitted. Heels and dress shoes are not suggested. Scrubs or khakis and a plain t-shirt (no bands, logos, etc.) are also acceptable attire. Bring a sweater or jacket in case the room is cool.
We wish you a long and rewarding career with Sheppard Pratt Health System!
