About Kids Spot

Our trained and experienced staff will keep your children entertained with fun activities, art projects, and games while you are in the court house. We also provide snacks in the morning and afternoon. 

Kids Spot is a drop-off service; no reservations are necessary. Kids Spot is not only fun, it is safe and secure. We have created a photo identification drop-off and pick-up system that allows both our staff and parents to feel comfortable knowing that their children will only be released to the correct individuals.  

We are open from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, with a break for lunch from 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. Even if court does not break for lunch or end at 5:00 p.m., parents and guardians must pick up their children at these times.    

Additional Information

• Parents and guardians should arrive at least 15 minutes before court to complete registration forms. A staff member will review the guidelines for the guardian at drop-off.

• Photo ID is required for drop-off and pick-up. The same person MUST pick up and drop off, except in specific ‘change of custody’ situations (we will be notified by the court in the event of ‘change of custody’ situations).

• Parents/guardians and child will both be issued a photo ID label. Parents/guardians MUST always wear the photo ID label while in the court house.

• Parents/guardians MAY NOT leave the courthouse while the child is in Kids Spot. Children must immediately be picked up when business with the court is completed.

• Parents/guardians will notify Kids Spot of their initial location in the court house when at drop-off. If there is a change in location within the courthouse, the parent/guardian must notify Kids Spot by calling. The phone number will be given at drop-off.  

• We reserve the right to refuse admission for any child we believe to be ill. If a child becomes ill while in our care, we will contact the parent/guardian immediately.
