Treatment at the Child Day Hospital
Each day, children arrive at 8:00 a.m. and go to their ‘homeroom.’ Working alongside their homeroom classmates, patients attend eight daily therapeutic groups that are led by experienced, compassionate mental health workers, psychiatric nurses, and social workers.
In addition to psychotherapeutic groups, we build in time for recreation and movement on a daily basis. We have access to an enclosed outdoor courtyard as well as an on-campus gym.
Children also meet with their doctor or nurse practitioner on a daily basis; during this time, they will discuss any ongoing symptoms or problems they are experiencing.
