Psychiatric Clinics of North America has appointed Harsh K. Trivedi, MD, MBA, the president and CEO of Sheppard Pratt Health System, as consulting editor for the journal. Previously, Trivedi served as consulting editor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America from 2008-2016.

Psychiatric Clinics of North America is the trusted source for clinicians looking to stay current on the latest advances in psychiatry. I am honored to take on the role of consulting editor in order to help others in the field access key information on important issues impacting the industry today,” Trivedi stated.

“We are thrilled that Harsh accepted this position,” said Lauren Elise Boyle, the acquisitions editor for the series at Elsevier. “Since Psychiatric Clinics of North America covers the entire field of psychiatry, Dr. Trivedi was one of the few people qualified to serve as consulting editor, due to his experience both as a clinician and as the president of the largest non-profit provider of mental health services in the nation.”

In addition to his prior position as a consulting editor, Trivedi co-authored “Practical Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Pediatrics and Primary Care” and is the recipient of multiple awards including the American Medical Association Foundation Leadership Award, the American Psychiatric Foundation Spurlock Congressional Fellowship, and the American Association of Directors of Psychiatric Residency Training Ginsberg Award.
