Alliance, Inc. serves individuals with mental illness and developmental disabilities.
Alliance became an affiliate agency of Sheppard Pratt in July 2012. Alliance offers
services and opportunities that empower people with disabilities to achieve personal,
social and economic growth.
Alliance provides psychiatric rehabilitation, outpatient clinics and detention center
based mental health and substance abuse treatment, case management, vocational training
and employment services, and community housing to individuals of all ages with mental
illness and developmental disabilities, as well as for veterans, in the State of
Maryland and its surrounding areas. Alliance, whose programs are accredited by the
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) also employs more
than 300 individuals in the community through federal, state and private contracts
as part of its Business Services Division.
The Alliance Inc. Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) in
Harford County supports young people in Harford County and its surrounding areas
to reach their maximum potential and to become independent, productive members of
the community through rehabilitation, treatment, case management, vocational and
employments services. Programs are developed and delivered through a collaborative
partnership among youth, families, schools, businesses, the community, state, and
federal agencies, and other service providers. Services are structured to meet the
needs of the individuals served.
Alliance, Inc. has been providing services since 1982. It is dedicated to creating
an environment where every person matters, and continually strives to fulfill its
mission to “foster hope and opportunities for people with disabilities and mental
health needs to pursue and realize their dreams.”
