The Forbush School at Westminster, a program of Sheppard Pratt Health System, provides special education and mental health services to elementary and middle school students in Carroll County. The school serves up to 38 students.

The Forbush School at Westminster is a satellite of the Forbush School's program in Baltimore County. The school operates with the support of Carroll County Public Schools and Maryland State Department of Education, and is a non-public special education day school. As part of its Level V designation, the school provides special education services in combination with individual, group, and family therapy; crisis intervention; and psychiatric medication management services for enrolled students.

The Forbush School at Westminster also offers a specialized track for students ages five to 14 with autism, pervasive developmental disabilities, behavioral and emotional difficulties, multiple learning problems and other related disorders. Students may exhibit various levels of skills on the autism spectrum. The school provides a designated classroom where the special needs of these students can be addressed.
