  • The Benefits Counselor will also be responsible for providing assistance to all with regards to the coordination of health and entitled benefits for clients who start and retain employment. Requires a BA/BS degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field. 1-3 years related experience with federal and state entitlement programs, available work incentive and issues relating to employment of people with disabilities. Must have own vehicle; valid Maryland drivers license and car insurance with clean record. A vocational services background is preferred. This includes the retrieval, data entry and distribution of all APS and private insurance authorizations and fee for service compensation reporting. At least one year of college preferred. One year experience with medical authorizations, registration and billing. Experience with Windows based spreadsheets, word processing and database programs.
