Summary of Benefits
Flex Plan Benefits
Sheppard Pratt Health System (SPHS) offers eligible employees a Flex Plan under
which one may select from a menu of medical, prescription, vision and dental
plan components. Life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, and
disability benefits are included in the Flex Plan as well. SPHS subsidizes a
portion of the costs based on employee family status and hours worked per week.
Life insurance and disability coverage are based on employee's salary.
Paid Time Off
Eligible employees
accrue paid time off as determined by job classification and hours worked per
week. This can be used for vacation, personal leave, holidays, weather
emergencies, and the first three days of absence per sick occurrence. Employees
also accrue additional days off, determined by hours worked per week, for
longer term illnesses.
Retirement Programs
SPHS provides a Retirement Account Contribution, paid in full by the SPHS, for
all eligible employees. In addition, employees may elect to save monies for
retirement on a pre-tax basis (4O3(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity). A discretionary
match contribution may be made annually by SPHS.
