Our Young Adult Unit is a 14-bed unit located on our Towson Campus that serves adult patients ages 18 to 30 who suffer from one or more psychiatric disorders. Our experienced staff has the capability to treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to: bipolar disorder, depression, and first-break psychosis.

Our treatment method consists of brief crisis intervention and medication management with a physician until the patient can be transferred to a lower level of care, like a day hospital or an outpatient program. We also provide a variety of daily psycho-educational groups, which educate patients on how to best cope with their disorder. We believe that family involvement is a key component to recovery and so we encourage this throughout the entire course of treatment, including discharge planning for the patient.
